Using KaiPrep

These terms describe your use of KaiPrep's meal-planning service. Please read them before using the service or subscribing. KaiPrep helps you plan meals, organise shopping and, where your plan allows, use saved ingredients and recipe ratings. Features and generation allowances depend on your account's plan and are shown in the app.

Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate account and planning information. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access. Do not share access in a way that bypasses account allowances.

Meals, recipes and food safety

Meal plans and recipes, including AI-generated suggestions, are general information, not medical or nutritional advice. Suggestions may contain mistakes and images may be illustrative. Check ingredients, quantities, cooking instructions and product labels yourself. You remain responsible for dietary requirements, allergies, safe food handling, cooking temperatures and whether a meal is suitable for your household. Do not rely on KaiPrep as an allergy or food-safety guarantee.

Shopping and budget estimates are indicative, not a supermarket offer or a guarantee of checkout cost. Check what you already have and actual prices before buying.

KaiPrep Plus subscriptions

KaiPrep Plus is a recurring subscription priced at NZ$7.99 per month. Stripe processes payments. Review the currency, total and recurring billing details displayed at Checkout before confirming a purchase. Your subscription renews monthly until canceled. Payment completion alone does not activate features in your browser; KaiPrep verifies subscription status before granting Plus access.

You can manage payment details and cancel through Manage billing in the app. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of your paid billing period, and Plus access continues until that period ends. A failed payment or inactive subscription can make paid features unavailable. Free, complimentary or legacy account access does not itself create a Stripe subscription.

Contact us about incorrect charges, billing problems or refund requests. Any refund or other remedy required by applicable consumer law remains available. We will communicate material changes to subscription terms or pricing before they apply; the billing terms shown for a purchase remain important.

Availability and acceptable use

We aim to provide the service with reasonable care and skill, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or error-free AI output. Maintenance, provider outages or connectivity problems may interrupt access.

Do not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with other users, submit unlawful content, bypass payment or generation limits, or use automation to abuse the service.

Suspension and account closure

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks or a serious breach of these terms. Where practicable, we will explain the issue and allow you to contact us. Contact support to request account closure. Closing an account and canceling a paid subscription are separate actions: cancel through Manage billing or ask support for help so billing is addressed.

Your rights and our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable rights under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. These terms do not make you waive mandatory consumer protections.

Subject to those protections, we do not guarantee that every suggestion will meet your needs or that estimates will match actual purchases. You should check suggestions before acting on them. If the service does not meet an applicable legal guarantee, contact us to discuss a remedy. These terms are governed by New Zealand law, without removing mandatory protections that apply to you.
