What we collect
KaiPrep may collect your email address and sign-in provider identifier when you authenticate. The app also stores meal-planning preferences you choose, such as household size, budget range, dietary requirements, supermarkets and cooking equipment, along with meal plans, shopping lists, ingredients you save as already at home and recipe ratings. KaiPrep also stores generation-usage records and, where billing applies, entitlement status and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate your account, enforce generation allowances and generate meal plans. For eligible plans, relevant household preferences and ingredients saved as already at home may guide generation, and bounded recipe-rating history may help personalise future plans. Saved ingredient quantities may also reduce compatible quantities shown in Shopping. Preferences, plans, shopping lists, saved ingredients, ratings, entitlement and usage records are saved to your account in Firebase Firestore so supported data can synchronize across browsers and devices when you are online. The app also keeps a local cache of planner data for your account. Saved ingredient and rating data may remain stored if a paid plan ends, while the associated paid features become unavailable.
Service providers
Authentication, application-data storage and managed recipe-image delivery are provided through Firebase services. Meal-plan generation is provided by Google Gemini on Vertex AI and may use the relevant planning information described above. Stripe processes subscription checkout and billing management; KaiPrep stores the resulting customer, subscription and entitlement identifiers needed to provide account access. KaiPrep does not send saved ingredients, meal plans or recipe ratings to Stripe.
Website delivery and analytics
Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the KaiPrep website. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, also called Real User Monitoring, to understand which pages are used and how reliably and quickly they load. This helps us identify slow pages and improve the website.
The analytics beacon processes page addresses and referring pages, page-load and interaction timing, performance measurements such as layout shifts, and available browser memory metrics. Reports can group visits by browser, operating system, device type and country. Cloudflare processes these measurements for us. Network requests to Cloudflare also involve technical connection information, including your IP address; this is separate from using an IP address to identify or track you in Web Analytics.
Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or browser local storage to measure visits and does not fingerprint people or track them across websites. This statement concerns Web Analytics, not all KaiPrep sign-in, local-cache or website-security functions. It is not Google advertising tracking, and we do not currently load Google AdSense advertising code or display Google ads.
For more about the service and its handling of information, see Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. If you have questions about website analytics or your information, contact KaiPrep Privacy using the address below.
Data choices
You can sign out from Profile. Clearing this site's browser data or the app's stored data removes the local cache but does not delete planner data saved to your account. To request deletion of your Firebase authentication account and saved planner data, contact the email address below.
